Easy choc-free Easter DIY gift

Posted by Alicia Nash on

This is the easiest DIY mummy project you will find and easily rivals any of the latest gorgeous Easter bits on Pinterest!

I couldn't resist when I saw the cutest little jar with a bunny on top at Woolworths last night - in the Easter section ($7), when I popped in for a quick milk shop (ok and maybe chocolate).

So I decided to turn it into a gorgeous little chocolate-free Easter gift - that was super easy. I grabbed a can of gold spray paint (for plastic/metal) - the one I found was about $3.50 at Bunnings. I Just can't get enough metallic at the moment and the original powder blue was a little flat! A quick spray of gorgeous gold paint and it transformed in to a great looking gift container.

If you have plenty of time and want to be a bit more creative, any plastic toys (hunt for some Easter themed ones!) can be attached to the lid using either screws or some strong adhesive. However, with only a week or so until Easter, and minimal spare time - I opted for the quick version!

The Easter Bunny pretty much always brings PJs in our house so a cute organic cotton and Australian made Moon Jelly pair of harem pants and T-shirt fits in perfectly! The best part is as 'lounge' wear they're great for out and about too. You can shop them HERE!

See the finished product below! Have Fun!

xx Alicia
